Can Consistency Checker be used to push out changes to Control Connection aspect?
The 800xA system is of version 5.1 Rev. D(?) and has DCI Connect. In the Control Connection aspect properties that in other libraries have 'Tune' for writing in other libraries and Connects only requires 'Operate' for DCI objects. In this case the customer is concerned about the atoms/properties for alarm blocking and and alarm limits which the operators are not supposed to have access to. Because of the special character of the Control Connection aspect, changing the Write permission from 'Operate' to 'Tune' for these properties Control Connection the Type and Supertypes does not get pushed out to the instances, and it appear as if you will have to edit each instance individually.
My question is, if you change the required Write permission for the Object Types and then run Consistency Checker Tool on the structure(s) where the instances live, will the tool pick up where this setting differs from the Object Type and give you chance to fix this (repair)?

IIRC, if the instance has never been touched, a changed of setting will be inherited from type to instance.
On the other hand, instances that have been hand cranked, will stay with their own private settings until the objects has been erased and uploaded again.
An instance with a local deviation of a permission is not an error in the view of the consistency checker, hence it will not be able to "correct" anything.
I recall projects using ABB Automation Scripting to update permission settings. This is however not a documented/supported interface and I have nothing I can provide ATM.
