The data transfered via Diagnostic port to my laptop when rebooting PM783F was unreadable
I tried to get configurations of the PM783F through Diagnostic port of it by rebooting it and read the information on Tera Term. But the displayed data was unreadable. I think it was because of the difference in baud rates between on the Controller and Tera Term. On Tera Term, I set the speed: 9600, data: 8, parity: none, stop: 1; but I couldn't find where to set them on the Controller. Can anybody help me fix that? Thanks so much.

Be shure of the right cable.
Connection to AC700 needs another cable then cable to AC800F.
Connector pin description see in Manual.
The communication speed changes with new Freelance Version.
Take a look in manual of your Version.

For more recent versions of Freelance use a 19200 Baud setting.
Also set Flow control to hardware handshake (not so sure about that).

From Freelance 2016 on the default baud rate for the diagnostics interface for AC 700F and AC 900F was changed from 9600 to 19200. That is mentioned in the ReleaseNotes for Freelance 2016.
For Handshake, you can use the setting None or Hardware (RTS/CTS). Just make sure that if you use Hardware Handshake the lines in the cable are connected to the plug on both sides and the Levels are actually set by the Terminal.
Please note, that even when the baud rate is set to 19200 the Hardware-Test messages will still come with 9600. You have to wait until the tests are over to see the diagnostic messages ungarbled.

Please find attached a demo project for a stone crusher. It is available for AC 700F or using the Softcontroller (Controller Emulator) instead.
It is available in English or Chinese (because the intern who did it is a Chinese national) Documentation is also included.
Hope that helps
