Can we use 50/125 micron Multimode cable with TB825

Hi,
Mixing 50/125um and 62.5/125um fibre and devices exacts a heavy price in additional connector losses from mismatched fibres, drastically reducing the maximum link length and is normally avoided like the plague. Suggest that you type "mixing 50/125 62.5/125" into the search engine of your choice to read up on the details.
ABB document "3BSE020923, S800 I/O Getting Started" does not mention 50/125um fibre for the TB825 at all. I did notice however that ABB document "3BSE039116, S800 I/O - Communication interfaces - Outline of all modules, page 3" from the ABB Library does indicate a maximum link length of 100m for 50/125um Vs 1000m for 62.5/125um which indicates that yes, technically it can be used but with at least a 90% reduction in effective link length.
Regards,
Alan
