OPC DA Service remains initialize mode in ABB 800xA Generic OPC sV 5.1
However when checking live values in Control connection all values are showing as BAD quality. Screen shots are attached for reference.
As I have mentioned earlier, the OPC DA Connector service requires asynchronous DCOM communications (client call server and server calls back to client).
A successful test made with a desktop app does not prove correct bidirectional DCOM settings for a background service like the OPC DA Connector.
Please ensure that the account running OPC server has permission to post callbacks to the AdvDsOpcConnector.exe (running under the 800xA service account). This may require a second set of users and synchronized passwords - refer to the PDF I posted in the other thread.
A typical reason for the OPC DA Connector to remain in Initialize state is if the OPC Advise call fails to setup an asynchronous (callback) interface between the OPC server and the OPC DA Connector.
