ABB 800xa screen resolution
Hi. We are looking at trying out a 49" Samsung curved screen with resolution of 5120 x 1440 but going to split it up into 2x screens of 2560 x 1440.
As i can see we have been running on the "basic" 1280 x 1024 resolution and that has been kinda blurry on 1080p screens. Would this make things worse by going up to a even higher resolution on the screen? Or should one stick to 1080p. Cause Samsung har a 1080p version of the screen too.
I also see its possible to upgrade to the "basic" resolution of 1600 x 1200 but need extra licenses.

As always, it is recommended to run digital screens at their native resolution to avoid interpolation (=blur).
There is no license cost per pixel.
Large Operator Workplace license is not yet enforced but recommended when having more than two monitors configured for a workplaxe. Eventually, you will see license annoyance if your license does not permit the number of monitors you have connected.
With more pixels available, texts, symbols, etc. will appear "smaller" at a certain viewing distance. Since System 800xA is designed for scale factor 100% it is recommended to avoid using the "Make text bigger" and "Make everything bigger" functions in Windows Control Panel.
I recommend staying with a reasonable number of pixels per monitor, or at least make some proof of concept before investing in multipixel monitors beyond Full HD.
