After an conversion of PM875-2 to PM877 we got problem with cluster modems TB820V2 failing randomly.
We have several S800 RIO with CI840 Firmware 4.1/3 and we are using cluster modems to connect more IO clusters to the slave.
After the upgrade of the Melody controller the S800 slaves for were behaving as normal, but after some days the cluster modems starts failing
causing problems for the control functions and operation. Our solution to fix the situation is to cycle the power to the cluster modem, as a result all IO
on that cluster and the following clusters will fail for a short time. After a restart everything is ok again until the next fail occurs. We have during the
last month restarted more than 15 failed TB820V2 and it is until now never the same unit that is failing. We have a possibility to upgrade the CI840 to
the latest firmware but nobody can tell us if this will help the situation.
Anyone have experienced anything like this with the cluster modems of S800?
Firmware for CI840 can be done online but with these randomly failing units i am not convinced it will be safe to do it online.
Have anyone any experience with online upgrade of S800 slaves?
We have redundant CI840.

Problem was solved with a firmware upgrade of the CI840 commuication card. But we have no clue about why this was triggered due to a controller upgrade.
