Check on what node the Scheduling service is currently active. Sometimes after a power down this service changes to another node where the Excel sheets are not present and they cannot be executed. Check the Scheduling log which may have a printer errors or cue error (inaccessable location etc).

Check the scheduler service in Information Manager node. if it is not in service state, refer Information manager document to make it in service state.
If the scheduling service is in service state, try to generate report manually. Go to scheduling structure -> select Job description object for particular report -> select scheduling definition aspect and click "Run Now". Now you can confirm at-least template is fine or not. or select "test action" from the context menu of Action aspect. Test Acton will create a log file entry in log file and you can find the log file in this location in Information manager Node C:\ProgramData\ABB\IM\Scheduler

You have recieved very good input to your inquiry so far - let me just add a few more hints...
The DataDirect plugin may get into jeopardy after installing (approved...) MS hotfixes; additionally, several corrections to the DD plugin have been added over the years - make sure you are running a recent version of DD.
Try logging in to the node running the Scheduler as the 800xA Service Account, Open Excel and verify that the DD plugin is properly listed w/o any error messages at startup. Potentially, remove plugins and add them back again (use a recursive dir /s c:\*.xlsm to find it; I guess C:\ProgramData\ABB\DataDirect\... but could differ depending on version and if you are running the scheduler on the IM node itself or elsewhere). You can also try moving the Scheduler service provider (and report generation...) to another server (where you need to have Excel + DD installed).
Ultimately, file a support case with your regional ABB support center.
