See my answer in Freelance Trend Adquisition (Freelance) (abb.com)
With regards to the already sampled data in the history, Freelance Operations will close the current file and open a new one, which has the original file name with an added number in the end. That should happen in the CURV directory of the Freelance installation. That means the operator will not see the previously sampled data in its trend display. But it is still there.
You can always see the data with the Archive Browser (If you don't see it under the ABB Start Group you did not install it. Run the Freelance Setup, select Modify and check the Archive Browser option under Operation).
To be on the save side make a backup copy of the trend file in the CURV directory before you change the sample time.
