no attached picture, you are probably referring to SPM attachments - vibration sensor wells, variant code 043 - SPM compatible nipples for vibration measurement - which are used, in some critical applications for electric motors, where it is necessary to accurately monitor the vibrations possibly originating from the bearings, to guarantee maintenance to intervene before having irreversible breakages.
Or, if you can put a photo, let's see what it is.
