OPC UA interface via History node
Have recommended access to 800xA via the OPC UA interface available on the History node ( system version 6.0.3.2). Can access locally on the history node via an OPC UA Client ( Softing and Integration Objects) but unable to access from same clients installed on other nodes in the 800xA system. Final scope is to be able to access via external node (end application is OSISOFT/PI integration of plant data). The documentation of the OPC UA server is remarkably poor - I have found one mall paragraph informing on how to remove security check from init file. NOTHING else. Has anyone had experience with this?

I don't know what 800xA History offers in terms of OPC UA. The upcoming System 800xA 6.1.1 revision includes OPC UA support for Data Access.
I've seen a couple of test systems being installed with it.
Speak with your regional ABB sales representative about trying out a release candidate of 6.1.1
OPC UA security can be a complex matter, especially when it comes to the handling of a PKI and its x509 certificates. I have seen our preliminary user's guides on that matter; there are a few things to keep in order for this to work properly.
