S+ engineering upgrade to V2.2
I'm in the middle of upgrade to v 2.2 engineering .
I have older console database
As I understand the work flow is
1-bulk engineering
2-signal manager
3-Synchronize OE to operation engineering
My question is : in bulk data engineering there is attributes mapped to the columns of the older db (signals\ hardware) to be able to validate and import
is there simpler way to make this step as there is alot of mandatory attributes
and if there is another methodology for upgrade work flow , kindly mention please if possible .
thanlks

Hi,
If you have the harmony project backup (old one), then upgrade to S+ Engineering latest version (either 2.2 or 2.3 which is widely used). As you mentioned the workflow remains same as mentioned by you to perform the bulk update.
For mapping bulk data, you can use the sample mapping file using Load mapping file option from the ribbon bar, which is available in the C:\symphonyplus\ExampleIOfiles (choose harmony one or HMI mapping file *.xml ) based on what you want to update in bulk.
In case of S+ Engineering 2.3, refer to the12.3 Legacy Console Engineering Upgrade feature in Bulk engineering (select checkbox in ribbon bar) which allows you to update all attributes based on Loop, PCU,Module and Block information. Rest all the attributes from any old console can be updated. Only excel format is supported and the workflow is as similar to bulk engineering. (Note: Supports only Harmony based project)
Refer to user manual for more information.

Which legacy console used is not clearly mentioned. Please update..
