Symphony plus 2.0.4 Operations Explorer HMI Display tree - No visualization 2nd level subtree
We are trying to configure the layout of the application bar for the Operations Explorer (left hand side of HMI).
Adding the 1.1.1) "Area1", we can not see it in the subtree, even though we see "1) Menu" and "1.1) Summary" correctly.
1) "Menu" 1.1) "Summary" 1.1.1) "Area1"
We already checked BUTTONTYPE,TARGETWND, BUTTONACT, IMGNORMAL, MENULEVEL AND SECURITY and all of them seem to be fine.
The database that we use is:
C:\ProgramData\ABB Symphony Plus\Operations\SV1.0\config\menu
In the manual, they recommend to split this database in 2 files but in other plants one file was enough to make it work.
Any thoughts about it? Anyone came across this issue?
I think I have experienced this before. I think the trick was to avoid any unused indexes between the graphics in the list below an item with MENULEVEL 0.
In our plant we have split files into 9 files with spare indexes between each file.
01 MENU Basic.xls
02 A1 MENU Display.xls
03 A2 MENU Display.xls
04 B1 MENU Display.xls
05 B2 MENU Display.xls
06 B3 MENU Display.xls
07 Y MENU Display.xls
08 T MENU Display.xls
09 Status MENU Display.xls
Where A1, A2, B1, .... is different plant units with dedicated operator. The first file contains buttons and stuff for the PowerExplorer Workplace, and the others only graphic displays. Be aware that having a too long menu will cause a long start-up of power explorer, which also can cause navigation buttons not to be loaded. This can though be fixed with adjusting a timer for server timeout in client registry if this issue is faced.
