Is ACS550 Analog output 10VDC or 24VDC in current mode (0..20ma)?
I would like to connect the analog outputs (AO1 and AO2) from the ACS550 to a PLC. It's not clear to me when in Current mode for the analog outputs what the voltage will be? Will it be 10VDC or 24VDC?
I plan to set the min limit to 4ma so I would be reading 4..20ma. Just want to confirm, what the voltage will be in that mode.
I fully agree with Kolyo, I also add that since these are analog outputs that generally go from the drive to signal acquisition systems, or to PLCs or sometimes directly to measuring instruments and being that ABB declares the current outputs, configurable from 0 to 20 mA or from 4 to 20 mA, they supply the variable in current directly to the measuring instrument, to convert it into voltage a resistance - better if precision - of 500 ohm is used, in order to obtain the maximum signal amplitude , 10 VDC connected to the drive analog output terminals.
If you explain better what you want to do, maybe we can help you better
