Hi Everyone! We recently switched from ACS800 (260kW) to ACS580 (160kW) for our Clinker Cooler fan (110kW) application. The fan used to draw 128 Amps at 96% speed reference while it currently draws 110 Amps at the same speed reference. What are some of the key distinguishing features which make ACS580 more efficient?
The use of a new generation inverter could be a sufficient answer in itself. However, ACS580 has technical features and filters for elimination of electromagnetic compatibility spurious and second generation variable saturation inductances that could affect the absorptions you described. Reading the ACS580 HW manual will give you some further ideas.
