PCM600 Error when Writing to IED: There are too many old configurations saved. Default configuration is used.
So, we are on a site that has quite a number of REF615 relays and they have been modified numerous times since their initial install.
Today, when trying to 'Write the latest' configuration update into the relays via 'Write to IED', the following warning text appeared in the Output window of PCM600:
'There are too many old configurations saved. Default configuration is used.'
Yet, the progress of the 'Write to IED' continued to 'Success' and the correct configuration logic etc appears to be in the relays.
With the project loaded in PCM600, if i select one of the REF615 IED's, I can see in the 'Object Properties' window, that the Configuration version is Verison 12. I believe the intent for this, is Configuration revision 12?
Is there a way of deleting the old Configuration versions (revisions), that will mean that the warning will be removed?
Is the warning potentially going to mean that when i perform a 'Write to IED' that the full IED configuration will go back to default?
