I upgraded the project from composer 5 to composer 6 then to S+ . After upgrading the Tag data base exists but most of tags aren't assigned to the blocks . How can i assign tags to the blocks without doing this manually? Thanks in advance.

Hi Karim,
I think I understand what you want. In the Control Engineering System Architecture window there is a function called "Tag Synchronise" that will synchronise the CLD exception report function codes and database based on exception report type and block address.
Right click at the CLD, Module, PCU, Loop or Project level and...
For the CLD and Module contexts select Synch and then Tag.
For the PCU, Loop and Project context select CLD Tag Synchronise.
Once finished the CLD, Tagtype, Address, DC Number and FC Name fields will be populated and greyed out in the database and the tagname will appear in the CLD. The message window / Output window will detail the tags synchronised.

Hi,
You can cleanup the tag database in Operations engineering and perform SYNCH TAGS. button in Signal Manager. This will synch all tags directly from control engineering to Operations Engineering. Ensure NDC Matrix in Topology is configured properly. Refer to user manual for more information.

Hi,
Is there any error reported during the upgrade? If so, please share those details. Also, check the log files which may help more to understand.
Ensure that the engineering project backup is the latest one

I found that the project composer 5 version has the same database also . So, i will try to go and take another backup with the latest project. Thanks
Hi Karim,
Probably need to work out where things started to go wrong.

Probably need to work out where things started to go wrong.
- Can you confirm that the database has wrong block numbers and the CLDs are still OK?
- Is the Composer 5 database synched correctly with the CLDs?
- Is the Composer 6 database synched correctly with the CLDs?
- Can the Composer 5 project export a taglist correctly?
- Can the Composer 6 project export a taglist correctly?
- Does the Composer 5 project compile and verify against the hardware?
- Does the Composer 6 project compile and verify against either the Composer 5 project or the hardware?
- Usually an upgrade to Composer 6 will flag any errors with the Composer 5 project. Did the upgrade from Composer 5 to Composer 6 occur without error?
- Did the upgrade from Composer 6 to S+E 2.2 occur without error?

Alan
