ACS880 ZCU-12 documentation
Good morning.
I am actually working to solve a problem on an ACS880 standard firmware.
The drive is totally hanged.
After initial start it is on fault state (red led on) but it doesn't communicate neither to the Control panel nor to PC.
It seems to be a ZCU-12 unit problem.
But the interesting point is that this card has one 7 segment display that gives me an error code that I can't decipher due to I couldn't find any reference to this control unit on any place across the ABB database. Just firmware manuals for ZCU-12 with no 7 segment display.
Is it possible that ABB sell an equipment without a corresponding manual?

Hi
from DIB for your drive I have the follow information:
Control Unit ZCU-12 - 3AXD50000005751 - serial number C6241278VS
This is a normal Control Unit, the fact that a 7-segment display is visible on yours is relative to the size. In reality, this display should be present on all Control Units, except that on some it is covered by the plastic cabinet of the lid.
The indications it provides are used by the factory during the testing phases, and are not significant for the user.
That's why you can't find any reference on the std documentation: you don't need it!
So you can use standard documentation.
To return to your problem, it could therefore be a real failure of your Control Unit, to check if this is the failure and if you have another drive available, you could try swapping the two Control Units, remember before moving the ZMU which contains the programming data.
In the event that the exchange is actually defective, you must contact your nearest ABB drive dealer for a replacement quote.
