How cold retain value is managed in Control Builder M
We have a upgrading project now using 800xA 5.1 RevD. The application is using some Function block type having alarm configuration in it. Seems it is managed by cold retain values. And according to our testing, when downloading with cold/warm mode the settings were kept. When downloading with initial the setting will be lost. These are normal.
We are using the Ac800M without battery and CF card. We import the original backup. We tried changing some of the settings(bool value from 1->0) by interaction window online, later after a new downloading the settings get back to what it was(1). And we add new function blocks to test change the settings, but the new one's setting are not stored.
I wonder where the cold retain value comes from.

Each time Control Builder enters Offline mode, cold retain values are normally
saved. However, there may be long time going between different times of saving
these cold retain values, and in case of a power failure more recent cold retain values
might be available if using the Save Cold Retain Values function in OPC Server for
AC 800M.
