You could write a smal app that use OPC and then writes to Excel
When using System 800xA you can use either
Bulk Data Manager* or DataDirect to read out OPC DA properties to MS Excel (both of them acts as plugins) The BDM* is documented in the Engineering Studio manuals. The DD is documented in the Information Manager Data Access and Reports manual. *) In 6.1, BDM is offered in two flavors. BDM and BDM2, the latter is a standalone app (not part of Excel, but I suppose you still can copy&paste from it).
Datadirect which is part of Compact HMI/800xA (ie no cost) requires the use of Excel as an add-in, as already mentioned. This is the best way to create Reports and even have data passed to external applications as needed. BDM is used for mass configuration changes more than anything else and is usually not used to read live values and data, except as a engineering exercise. Search for Datadirect here and you will get some idea on how to do this.
