Tools needed to update OPC path in OPC Control Connection - BDM Not possible
I have created the Objects for Third party OPC communication in Object type structure. I have more than 1000 instances for that object in Control structure.
It seems that we need to update the OPC path manually since the "OPC path" doesnt appear in BDM.
I am expecting any tools or suggestions on how to implement this.
Also i would like to understand about the methods to read or write the data from the system apart from BDM?

I am not aware of any tools to manipulate Control Connection aspects with, sorry.
However, the upload operation can be split in two phases; retrieve and append; between these a .ocs file is passed. With some effort you can probably reverse engineer the format and build a custom .ocs file which you subsequently "append".
This is a frequently reoccurring question; I recommend that you seek a future enhancement of System 800xA Generic OPC Uploader functionality thru your regional ABB sales representative. The current (low) level of functionality will likely remain until enough customer requirements have been received.
