S+E 2.2, Harmony Engineering Automation Architect - How to configure drawing entity line style
Can another S+E 2.2 user or product support confirm that when using Automation Architect the line style attribute is no longer available as an editable property for drawing entities such as poly line, rectangle, circle or arc? The documentation talks about being to change the line style via the entity Properties>General tab but this tab does not exist for me. Previous versions of Composer used to have a line style picker dialogue on the entity Properties>Object tab.
The default line style can be changed in Tools>Options>Edit but this is only for line entities. It also indicates that the setting is per sheet but it appears to be global. The spec sync function in the block manager requires the dotted line to function, so setting the default line style to dotted is something of a work around in this respect.
Thanks in advance,

I have just reported it as an bug in S+E 2.2, so good to know that its not just my machines that are affected.
The only work around I have found is to;
a) Copy an existing line and edit it
b) change the default line style temporary under Tools-> Options as you also mentioned
Will update you when I have an response from ABB regarding the bug.
I'm not sure what you are referring to when mentioning Spec-Sync? For Adapt to specs you needed a Dot-dashed line (from memory), but I'm not sure if this is what you mean, if you could elaborate a little more.
Regarding spec sync. Yes, we are both talking about the same thing, the Block Manager has a spec sync utility to programmatically tune adapts, tstalms, demuxes etc using corrrectly place dotted lines and bits of text. The S+E installation is on a fresh install of Server 2016 Standard.
With the migrated projects we went from Composer 6.01 to S+E 2.2 directly so didn't have an opportunity to use S+E 2.1 (and probably would not have noticed this anyway). I have tried this using migrated projects and new S+E 2.2 created projects with the same result. Migrated projects with drawing entities retain the line styles they were created with but the line style is not editable.
Attached is a rather grainy screenshot of a line properties dialogue from S+E 2.2. As you can sort of see, there is no line style dialogue or general tab for the line style property. As I mentioned earlier If I change the default line type in Tools>Options>Edit I can get a tuning line (dotted) but it is rather clumsy to work with. The other entity types (circles, arcs and rectangles) are just stuck with solid lines.
Just read the new 2.3 Automation Architect user manual and found an description on how to change style in chapter 3.10;
The good thing is that its implemented in S+E 2.2, just not documented in the user manual.
Could be that this has been here in previous versions as well, I have simply never tried to use this drop down menu.
