Can I reference the PG2 OPC sub-property IsBad in an Alarm Expression and, if so, what is the syntax for naming?
In PG2 I'm able to reference a Control Connection variable named XXX. I can also reference the sub-properties of said variable, for example, with the line XXX#IsBad. Is there a way to reference that same XXX#IsBad bit in an Alarm Expression aspect of an 800xA object? How would the "name" be formatted in the Alarm Expression?

Unfortunately, no.
I"m not even sure if the new Property Expression service is capable of allowing access to sub properties?
If not, someone ought to forward a complaint (suggestion for improvement) to their regional ABB sales representative.
For a limited number of signals you may be able to use Property Translation's Substitution Value (the value transferred if input gets bad). Don't write to General Properties, it puts load on the Aspect Directory for which it was not designed for.
