Can 800F logic be add to satisfy CSA requirements.
Some background info:
We're doing an audit of the controls around B-101 and B-102 and the lack of an SIS on these gens. On our Honeywell gens that don't have an adequate SIS we've been able to add 'safety' logic that satisfied CSA requirements. We're wondering if we can do the same in 800F for B-101 and B-102.
1. Can we monitor logic changes and/or downloads and trigger a shutdown if a change or download occurs?
2. Can we disable the ability to force/bypass I/O?
3. Can we disable the ability to force/bypass logic?
4. Can we monitor I/O forces/bypasses and trigger a shutdown if a force or bypass is set? Or send an alarm if a force or bypass is set?
5. Can we monitor logic forces/bypasses and trigger a shutdown if a force or bypass is set? Or send an alarm if a force or bypass is set?
6. CSA B149.3 requires that a logic solver have EEPROM, Flash ROM, battery-backed RAM, or EAPROM. The 800F manual talks about Boot-EPROM. What exactly is Boot-EPROM and how does it compare to the CSA approved memory types previously mentioned?
7. Does the ABB system have IO card fault status that could be used to initiate a shutdown?
That's all for now but we may have more.
