PS 501 Update to Automation Builder 2
Hi All,
I have in my hands a new site with several old PM 570/590/554, running without any problems and using the PS 501 2.2.0 for engineering.
My question is if I can update the project to the latest software without causing any problem to the site and the PLC's itself.
Beste Regards

Hi
if you have no absolute need to modify your plc, I personally advise you not to upgrade to Automation Builder 2.2
First because the old CPUs are probably not supported (I have never tried to tell the truth, but it doesn't seem honest to let you try it ....)
Secondly, because not knowing how your old CPUs are structured at HW level, you may have many problems updating programs.
My suggestion is to maybe keep your PS501 on an old PC and only in new projects, use Automation Builder 2.2.
Hope this help you
