800XA6.1 AC400 connect OPCDA_connector services
configuration : 800xa 6.1 with AC400 connect , Primary server (DC+AS+CS) & Redundant server , installed on windows server 2016. & 2 nos of OS clients
attached screen shot, Redundant pu410 RTA broad has not been connected to the MB300 network ( #21 & #22) for testing purpose as required by customer, hence some of the services ( 4 nos) are unhealthy.
RNRP & PING test found to be healthy. no affinity configured
ISSUE : randomly every 1 or 2 days, OPCDA_Connect service on the redundant server becoming healthy along with primary server. and other 3 services on the redundant sever remains unhealthy state. this instance causes data loss on the 2 nos of OS client. but data is available at Primary server.
kindly suggest why secondary OPCDA service is getting active, as there is no MB300 network cable connected to the RTA board. is there any settings to be verified?

Too little info available to draw any reliable conclusions.
CS2 may become healty (but unable to deliver data to clients) if its PU410 become connected to one more node (excluding itself) on the MB300 control network. E.g. an Enginering Station (Control Builder A). In this case, the CS2 OPC DA/AE services will enter Service state, but in lack of a controller, all data points will be set with "bad" quality.
Without affinity the order is random, OS1 and OS2 may both have preference for CS2 (but forced to use CS1 in lack of CS2).
This is one of the reasons why I recommend to ALWAYS have affinity (=to know what server any given client will connect if its able to "pick & choose")
I recommend creating Node Groups e.g. "Odd servers, Even servers, Odd Clients and Even Clients" and organize all nodes into these groups.
Then Affinity become very simple:
- Odd clients: Odd servers, All nodes
- Even clients: Even servers, All nodes
