How to Replaced IMMFP02 with IMMFP12
The IMMFP12 is identical in form, fit and function to the IMMFP02. The only requirement for mixing the IMMFP02 and IMMFP12 is that for a redundant pair of controllers, both controllers must have the same firmware revision.
There is no change required in Composer/S+E unless the controller major firmware revisions change (the letter of the revision), in which case the controller properties should be updated to suit the new firmware revision and the configuration recompiled before performing an off-line download.
If doing an off-line replacement and download because firmware revisions are different make sure that the module special operations are performed as per your system requirements before downloading to the replacement controller.
The INNPM12 is a replacement for the INNPM01/11 and does work with NIS01/11/21 that you already have installed. However, note that the NPM12 also has several functional enhancements (Plantloop support, Diagnostic port, Exception report timestamp filtering) over the NPM01/11 and as a result previously unused DIP switch poles in the NPM01/11 now perform functions. Recommend that you find a INNPM12 manual before attempting to install.
For use in a redundant node, the NPM12 firmware starts at revision F0 and will work with other NPMs in a redundant configuration as long as the other NPM firmware revision is E0 or greater. This compatibility between firmware revisions is intended to allow online upgrade of NPM module firmware only and is not intended for extended operation of the node.
There is no change required in Composer/S+E.
