AfwOpcDaSurrogate - License needed?
HI
Do I need a License for this OPC?
What if I do not have one? Is there a Message or is it "silent" not working?
Should I see this License Data in the LicenseUsageReport?
At the moment I fighting with this OPC, (can connect, but not read permanently), so I need to know if it can be a License Problem.
Our System:
6.0.3.1 with 2v3 Aspectserver where the OPC Connect is targeting.
Other Server is in the same Domain but not in IndustrialIT-OU
Thx for helping

Currently, there is no enforcement of a license for OPC connections. A future update might change this - so better have a license purchased.
Make sure the OPC DA Surrogate have correct Launch Identity set in dcomcnfg.exe. A proper 800xA user is required. See Configuration User's Guide.
DCOM is complex, but within same domain not too many settings needs to be done.

Stefan,
Thank you for helping again and again :-)
So, now i know it is not a Licensing Issue. Yesterday I spent a lot of Time. Double checked configuration, double checked again, and again. Nothing worked.
But today I came to the office and the Connection worked fine. It was cheating me, but in the End, it is working.
Let me say, the Document you posted (https://forum-controlsystems.abb.com/...) from the Expertworkshop 143, is definitive the best documentation to establish the OPC link!
