REM615 Modbus RTU pointlist/register/address
I'm using CAS Modbus Scanner from CHIPKIN
I have tried this method for different Modbus RTU enabled devices.
So far this one has been challenging.I've been looking for resources on this but to no avail
I can find different values yet does not see to make sense.
I am only looking for the basic parameters like voltage, current, PF, kWh, kW, etc.
l

Is there any way for me to read those values via Modbus RTU?
just so that I could replicate what's on the display

Hi joshua.lu,
You need to check and modify some settings in REM615 configuration (PCM600 program):
- Change unit mode setting from "Nominal" to "Primary".
- In Communication Management, search voltage and current measurement addresses and check "Primary Scale Factor In Use" box. You can also set "Scale Factor" according to your requirements. Note that current and voltage registers are 16-bit unsigned integer.
- Restart the relay after you change/write new settings in REM615 relay.
- Try to read register values again.
For details, see the attachments.
I hope this will help you.

It should be the same process for REM615A. 615 series relays have a default Modbus point list. Measurement registers should be available in "3X Input Registers" and "4X Readable Holding Registers" in Signal Type drop-down menu. See the attachments for details.

Yes, indeed, you have another relay version. Because of this, it has another default Modbus Point List.

At this point, I am not sure if you are able to use "Primary Scale Factor In Use" in this relay version. In that case, you should use "Scale Factor" in order to get measurement values according to relay HMI.

Unit Mode setting should be set to "Primary".

For register addresses, see the attachment.

Hi Jose.Alejandro,
You are correct that it is a different relay. I tried playing around the Scale Factor Values
The only value that I am sure of is the Frequency. i can get 60 or 5998 depending on the scale factor.
scale factor of 1 for 60 and scale factor of 10 or 100 for 6001 or 5998. guessing i have to divide this by 100 to get the decimal places.
Is there any way for me to get the Primary Scale factor to work?
Can I restart the relay via PM600?
All I do is change the values and test it right away.
Since all of this testing is being done remotely

JLu
You can restart the relay by switching off/on external power supply MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) if it has one or by HMI (option in menu).
The relay should also restart after full writing (not only settings) but you have to make sure that current configuration in relay is the same as PCM600 configuration (configuration project after last commissioning).
Best regards,
Jose.Alejandro
