ACS800 parameters are not accessible
Dear users,
This is the first time that I am using this frequency drive. I am trying to change some of the parameters so that drive match new application, but using panel on frequency drive those parameters is being skipped and I can't set up START/STOP/DIRECTION and reference. I am pointing again that I don't have any experience with this drive so any help from the expert would be more than welcome. Also, is it possible to access ACS 800 drive using Drive Window, cable and USB to serial adapter which is not produced by ABB?

Hi
Welcome to the world of ACS800 drives and in general to all ABB frequency converters!
The first thing to do and understand is if you have consulted the FW manual of the drive on which you want to change parameters. In the manual, the operations you are trying to do are well described and generally do not find it difficult to perform even by non-expert users.
To give you a good opinion on how to act specifically, we need to know your application and what the motor connected to the drive will do. The multiple programming possibilities of ACS800 cannot be summarized in a few lines.
As far as I know, only the original ABB tools - FW and SW - allow access to the parameters.
For this last aspect but also for any programming support, I suggest you turn with confidence to the nearest ABB dealer in your area who will be able to direct you to an ABB AVP or to the ABB Service, which is specialized in this type of support to the final users.

Hi,
In addition to Flavios's answer, check the parameter 16.02 Parameter lock. It could be password protected with 16.03. It is strange, that you could not see par, 1, 2...11? What fw version do you have - par. 33?
Using drive window most probably will not give you more possibilities than using of control panel in that case.
