ACS800 Start Inhibit Fault
ACS800 vfd is running, when centrifuge unit is switching to production mode we get a vfd shutdown (start inhibit FF7A) on the main drive. The fault resets right away and the drive is able to restart. Manual says safe torque off function has been activated. Is this a high torque condition in the drive that triggers the STO or what could cause the drive to see that fault ?is it only a hardwired circuit to the ASTO board ? Or can parameters in the drive be setup to enable the STO condition ?

Hi
Has this type of fault indication by the drive always occurred or is it only recently occurring?
Have changes been made to the drive program or to the production cycle?
If the signaling is recent, it could be, as the manual says, a problem with the ASTO circuit or with the AGPS card.
For a better diagnosis, I suggest you contact the ABB Service in your area.
