How to replace new one for RTA board PU410
Hi all,
My plant have 02 connectivity servers, 02 RTA boards ( PU410 ). Sometime some services on Connectivity Server-02 has problem. I have to reset RTA board ( number 02) & restart Connectivity server to solve out the issue. I'm going to replace new one for the defective RTA board.
I have 03 backup files ( DATH01/02/03.CD) of RTA board configuration stored on Connectivity server.
As my understanding, we have 02 solution for replacement :
Solution 1:
1- Stop the defective RTA board ( click on Control structure ) and power off
2- Replace new one, keep default IP address, no changing
3- Power on, change Net and Node for new RTA board
4- Start up new RTA board, the configuration file will automatically loaded to RTA board at start up.
Solution 2 :
1- Dump databases of old RTA
2- Load the databases for new RTA.
Does anyone has experience about this task ?. Could you share me in detail how to replace new one for RTA board ( PU410)?.
Thanks in advance

I would fault trace the problem a bit more before starting to replace hardware.
- What is output to the system event list?
[Workplace Structure]Web System Workplace:System Event List - What system messages are output in OnLine Builder?
Start and leave RTA Board Maintenance open until the problem occur
A very common problem is OPC DA overload from an unfavorable configuration or 3rd party OPC client. The 800xA for Advant Master Configuration User's Guide has recommendations, ahere to them (example below from v6.1)
If you are familiar with Applog, you can pull the two (2) statistics operations on the OPC DA Connector (OPC DA Connector and MasterAdapter) and post here and I will decode the results for you. Make two runs separated by 30-60 minutes to enable delta value calculation. I.e. need 4 operations executed, 2 + 2 with some time in between.
If you like, you can use chapter 8.4 and 12.6 (in fact the whole of chapter 12 is applicable for you) of the System Health Check (attached) to decode the operation output yourself.

Hi,
Above mentioned procedure is good practice to replace the faulty RTA board. (Solution 1)
Before starting the above steps make sure redundancy is working fine without effecting any running services.
Take backup of LF file(*.LD file) and load to new RTA board after replacing faulty one.
