ACS580 - Current limiting
I have an issue with 200 kW drive for centrifugal pump. On several occasions the drive has tripped on overcurrent. I need some guidelines how to prevent the drive to reach the overcurrent zone. I have tried to set the current limit (30-17) 3 A below the motor nominal current 99-6 (In=333 A), and the drive seems to limit around 330 A but trips after few minutes. My question is how can I limit the output current and not trip the drive on overcurrent?

In general, interventions for overcurrent in a drive that controls a pump that has a quadratic load torque, can occur when, for example, operation is required at an output frequency above 50 Hz, or if acceleration is very fast, or the load resistant torque is higher than the design one, for example due to a change in viscosity of the fluid passing through the pump circuit.
