Backup CPU PM864 unable to sync with Primary
I had configure the configuration as below.
Processor - PM864
TK851 cables are installed at both CPU and BC810 module with same UPPER indication.
Both processors had same firmware.
Both processors are able to boot-up in single processor.
Both processor had been configured to factory setting in IPConfig and new firmware had been downloaded.
Only Primary CPU IP Address is configured and boot-up first.
Backup CPU IP had been restore to factory setting in IPConfig (Reuse) and firmware had been upgrade. Unit is boot-up after primary PRIM LED is enable.
However the backup CPU Fault LED is blinking and both CPU unable to sync (Dual LED is OFF)
In controller log alarm appear as below:
E 2019-11-07 21:38:39.719 Unit= _SWTargets PMCS_N1 4004 P:BkpCEXError in Simplex
E 2019-11-07 21:38:39.811 Unit= _SWTargets PMCS_N1 4009 P:Bkp stopped BkpCEXError
Kindly help. Attached is the log file
According CPU log, problem comes from CEX bus.
So try to power off both CPUs,
Check if some pins in CEX connectors are not bent between CPU, BC810 and CI cards,
if pins are fine,
try to dismantle BC810 temporary and connect TK850 black cable instead from left side of CPUs. Power on.
If CEX issue remains anyway, I see problem in CPU backplane.
Backup CPU fails also in case no control network is available at CN1 and CN2, or
if both optical modulebus connections are disconnected (if modulebus is used in configuration)
Can you please share any snapshot of your setup.
Generally if no bc810 used then recommended to use tk850 b/w controller along with tk851 to make both controllers in sync.
Always ensure if you would have changed the controller by keeping base plate then it's recommended do the factory restore of Ip before setting actual IP (as baseplate holds the last IP needs erase).
Always set IP (Cn1) for primary and do restore backup cpu settings with default value as 0.0.2.0 for backup CPU ( default Rule).
KKeep backup CPU in off in these conditions and download the hardware settings by defining Cn2 IP and do cold reset of pri cpu (ensure redundant CPU added in hardware str).ping both cn1 and cn2 and now power on backup CPU (ensure tk851 cable connected and if bc810 used dont forget to terminate CEX bus)
