Need Help for Ethernet communication for PM564-RP-ETH PLC
Hi All
i am facing a strange issue with AC500 PM 564 controller communication was stopped and the IP was not getting detected during the scan from the Automation Builder Software.
the PLC was working fine earlier and suddenly this issue started popping up.
Upon investigation, we found that the Ethernet port is not blinking at all and looks the ethernet port of PLC seems to be defective.
We have done the following sanity checks:
- 24V DC Power supply was reset
- Ethernet cable was changed
- Module was removed and blown some air to avoid any dust particles was causing this.
Can you please let us know whether we can troubleshoot this or is it an HW issues which requires replacement.

Hi
with which version of Automation Builder are you trying to connect to the CPU?
Have you made sure that the IP address of the PC and the PLC are on the same domain and on the same subnet mask?
Last but not least, you must also consider a failure of the CPU input port - Ethernet side.
A possible control in this sense can be done by trying to connect with the TK 503 cable to the DB9 port and enabling the communication via serial link from Automation Builder.
Hope this help you
