Connect Composer Harmony 6.1 to serial ICI03A
Hi
I have just loaded composer harmony standalone and cannot get it to connect to ICI03A
I have tested ICI with a working Composer 5 setup and it starts straight away.
Cannot load DeviceAs Service if it is required as per manual as i get error PCPN800Library.dll file missing
error on connection attempt is H40081002
I have added SPlusAdmin group and added Admin user to this group as well as Administrators.
I am running out of ideas.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
TonyM

From what you say here it looks like Composer 6.1 has not loaded properly and/or you have the wrong Windows versions. Please check the manuals for Windows version (needs to be exactly the same no variations). Correct Windows version if needed. If Windows version correct, may need to reload (try a different machine?).
This from the manuals (no other version will work properly):
Windows Server 2008 R2 with Service Pack 1 (64 bit) - for servers. Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (64 bit) - for clients. Windows 7 SP1 (64 bit) - for server (Single node installation) (Optional).

Pleas re-install Harmony API (HAPI) msi. Hopefully, it will resolve your issue. Also, check basic pre-requisites like firewall and ensure something is not blocking the HAPI to work. Else add Device as a Service to firewall exception list in control panel.
It seems that we have a solution now.
In regard to the API we did re-install it but found the version that loads with the Harmony Composer Standalone install is version 3.2.0.3.
In another folder under Operations we found another version 3.1.0.18 which is the one shown on the s+software mapping spreadsheet. we uninstalled the 3.2 version and installed the 3.1 version and DeviceAsService was able to run and composer was able to connect to ICT03A no worries.
Thanks all for your help
