Migrating ACS 550 to ACH 580 and can’t get the Profibus to work
Hello,
We had an ACS 550 drive go bad and the quickest replacement we could get was an ACH 580. Unfortunately, we can't get it to communicate with the PLC on the Profibus. We tried to migrate the parameters as best we could, but weren't certain about differences between the RPBA and the FBPA adapters.
The drive won't go into Auto because it says there is no communication(fault 7510?) It runs fine using Hand.
We can't seem to get the FPBA to stop flashing green on Module.
I can't access the PLC at the moment, but I am attempting to contact the machines manufacturer to get them to assist. Any help in the mean time is appreciated!
Thanks,
Ed P

Hi Ed
you can try to set parameter 51.07 in RPBA emul mode, as show the image below.
This can solve your issue without changing nothing in PLC side.
Do not forget to update the communication settings in to the drive with 51.27 parameter (refresh)
Otherwise, of course, you can modify the GSD file at PLC side.
Hope this help you, let us know about the results
