ACS 380 reduces speed on high load
We are using ACS380 0.75kw drives for feeding augers, we are using analog signal to control HZ. We calibrate out controlsystem so the auger feeds X amount of kilos per minute, this is calibrated manually with test weight. We need the drive to run the same speed and the same torque, and if the current exeeds limit the drive must trip.
the ACS380 seem to reduce output frequenzy when its at motor current limit or close to it. We are having problems with feed accuracy. Is ther any parameters that control this?
probably you are using the scalar control on ACS380. This method of control can't give you a precise speed during the functioning, IMHO you can modify first the scalar control in vector control and re do the check of the precision, if this solution is not yet optimal for you, you can add one encoder feedback to close the speed ring of the control.
Hope this help you, let us know about the results
