time response from S800 IO to BRC410
what is the the time that take the information from the S800 IO ( FC221,222....) to FC228 to FC227 specially if we are in a star configuration and in witch each branche have 3 TB20 connected to 6 IO modules ,is it possible to have a response time equal or less than 250 ms or in other words what is the max number of IO to be in less than 250 ms response time ?

This has many factors that affect the time to read the data. Most controllers (MFP/BRC) have a default scan time of 250mS for all code. However this can be split into 8 separate segments which can have faster or slower timing, depending on the number of blocks within the segment. Strictly speaking the max number of IO per IOR and controller pairing is dependent on IO type (eg Digital vs Analog) other blocks needed for condition. So the max is hard to say. BTW all Function Blocks have published execution times as does the compiler give you estimated execution times. With this you should be able to work out what can be done in 250mSec. Eitherway one IOR is limited to 7 clusters of 12 S800 modules. You can have (with BRC400's) up to 4 x IOR per controller...
