Licenses, TAGS_RED and MP200/Advant Master in 800xA?
I thought the TAGS_RED count (used) would lower, but now several hours later it stays the same. How do i free up the licenses used by the old, now removed/decommissioned, controller and its objects? Do I need to do a MB300 Upload?

I would have also expected what you did to have reduced the count.
Perhaps you need to ask an ABB licensing expert where it looks within the system to count the tags.

Until recently it was possible to boost your tag count by having MB300 DAT objects where you had removed the Faceplate aspect from.
Since MB300 DAT are exempt from TAG counting, every such OBJECT resulted in a "-1" on the TAG count in use.
The bug was that if the faceplate were removed, the mathematical result became "-1" TAG for each MB300 DAT object w/o faceplate.
After the correction, only MB300 DAT objects having a faceplate are exempt. Hence a MB300 DAT object today without faceplate is +/- 0 on TAGS.
If your decommisioned MP200 had "faceplate free" DAT objects, removing them could increase your TAG count.
a) Use Find Tool, search for Aspect Category=Faceplate
b) Use Find Tool, search for Aspect Category=Faceplate PG2
c) Use Find Tool, search for Aspect Category=Faceplate in Object Type Structure
d) Use Find Tool, search for Aspect Category=Faceplate PG2 in Object Type Structure
The tag count is UNION(a+b) - UNION(c+d)
One object will only drain one tag, regardless of number of faceplates.
If you have both PG2 and VB6 it could be easier to count the union effect in Bulk Data Manager.

Apparently id didn't work. The License violation came back and license count raised back to the old count before I removed the MP200. Any suggestions?
