AfwWorkplaceApplication Crash
Hi,
The created operator workplace keeps in crashing and I'm not able to find the reason.
The operator workplace created is based on a copy of default on with some adaptations.
It crashes after a few display changes. I already ran consistency checks without success.
System Log mentions object manager leaked but I'm not able to figure out witch one / were is the source.
The system is in 6.1 with Win2016 and Win10 LTSB all virtualized in ESXi 6.0. Access to operators and engineers
is provided with Dual head Full HD Dell Wyse 3040 Thin clients which connects to the Win10 LTSB Clients.
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi
We experience something similar and after some testing we think it is related to Remote Desktop Protocol as we don't see the WP crash when we log on directly on a physical machine (Win10 LTSB).
Do you also see this behaviour?

Try disabling the TabletInputService in Windows - this might help, but I believe RDP session may still cause trouble. Trying a rich session (without RDP) will prove that.

Suggest using the classic Configuration Wizard, go to Diagnostics while holding ALT-SHIFT keys depressed, enable Dump On Exception, then reproduce the crash a few times.
Collect and ZIP the large .dmp files from C:\ProgramData\Process Portal A\Log\Crash (or Dump) and turn off Dump On Exception to avoid filling the hard disk.
Submit a support case with your regional ABB support center, provide the collected data together with a short description and choice of software (what connect package, what libraries, etc.).
I suspect this Product Issue also affect 6.1, and it is targeted for the next rollup on 800xA Base 6.1.0 Rollup 2.

A temporary correction exists that can be installed ontop of Rollup 1. Speak to your regional ABB support center for advise.
