Service connection status
Hi,
I have met a problem when i upgraded my 800xa 5.1 system to 6.1.
I followed the manual when doing this migration.
Now too the problems i have met, when looking in the AFW Service connection status all status shows an red cross.
When looking in plant explorer system status viewer the status shows a green color.
Everything seems to be working fine its just the red crosses that makes me think that there is some problem.
Thanks for taking your time

The Afwsevicestatus was always more accurate than the AFW Service connection. But obviously in your case it’s not the case. Have you tried so start afwservicestatus as administrator or 800xAinstaller ? If your current account is not allowed to view service structure it may be red.
The tool you refer to is mainly a connection viewer, not service status viewer.
I know the connection viewer can have issues if the "Network Filter" setting in the classic confíguration wizard (System Administration>Network) is incorrectly set. Verify that you have no filter, or an appropriate setting. Filter is recommended if any server has more than one NIC installed.
You should file a support case unless you can resolve this problem.

Responding to outside received question in Swedish language:
- RNRP is mandatory for use of System 800xA starting with v. 5.1
- The service connection viewer may be depedendant on RNRP and proper filter setting - the main purpose is "connection viewing" NOT service status.
For service status, please use System Status Viewer or afwservicestatus.exe
This question seem to involve a single engineering node system; then these warnings can be ignored...
A properly running 800xA production system should have static IP addresses, RNRP running and a proper Network Filter setting (if more than one NIC is used in any server).
