800xA operator workplace sound problems
Hi,
recently we installed new 800xA system v6.0. We imported(upgraded) our backup from v5.0. Everything is working fine, communication with the controllers (both ac400 and ac800), event and alarm list, trend views. The thing that is not working is the sound for audible alarms. We located .mp3 file that is to be played when an alarm becomes active, its path is defined correctly. Windows sounds are working fine. We also enabled audible alarm toolbar. We tried with .mp3 and .wav types and all three available players.
Do you have any idea what to do to make sounds work?
Thanks in advance!

Dear ,
Please just check alarm sound configuration in library structure.

Hi!
Make sure that the user running the Operator Workplace application has the correct mediaplayer installed as default.
Also check:
1) That the acting Audible Alarm Workplace Configuration aspect is enabled and the correct Alarm List selected.
2) The Audible Alarm Sound Configuration aspect for the correct Player and priority settings.
Regards
Thank you for your reply, but we did everything mentioned above, including folder security settings. Also sound is configured for all priority levels.
is the Mp3 also copied to same location of the client node?

Are you changing the aspect located in Workplace Structure unde the Workplace that you are using ? Check folder security settings. Try directly in c:\AlarmSounds
