MODBUS REDUNDANCY WITH CI853 ACTING AS SLAVE
Hi All,
We have Redundant AC800HI Controllers, each Controller has Separate CI853 and are acting as SLAVES.
As CI853 are Non-Redundant, I am looking for Modbus Redundancy between them.
I have read some threads which are explaining using Logic it has to be done.
Can someone Share Exact procedure who has done it practically and its working?

Hi. First thing: please realise that there is no such thing as Modbus Redundancy, as is in automatic switchover on data source failure etc.Second: yes you will need to program a system in that you setup code that can recognise a data source failure, which also needs to include cable and node (CI853, source node etc) failure. There is no way to write and exact procedure in this forum as there is no details on what you are trying to achieve and it would take time. The best you can do is create a form of switch-over parallel system that has 2 paths to usually a single data source anyway.
Hi,
The program is required in master side not in slave side. Check the status codes and switch to next channel.
