MB300 Uploader for Ac400 Connect
Please could you support in the following question?
Customer has a system installed and they are close to reach the tag license limit. They need to add some objects ,but they would need to delete some objects which they will no need to see from 800xA. Then we would add some additional objects like 10 or more , we would need to run MB300 Uploader to add them to 800xA system. But it would add all the objects again, an we would exceed the tag count. The question, if we run MB300 Uploader but from buttons add /remove we could selectively choose just the objects required ,because the blank option means everything is uploaded from controller , if we click on Add or remove buttons, does the system show all the objects belong to the specific controller and removing some of them y just keep the additional objects on the list we just would upload the additional objects from controllers to 800xA system.
Thanks for your support
Best Regards

There are several ways you can do this ....
- Upload by filtered Type
- Advanced Upload and Edit the .ocs file
- Create the new Objects Manually and set the ControlConnection details by hand. BE CAREFUL. ON OLDER SYSTEMS SETTING THE NETWORK NUMBER INCORRECTLY IS A BAD THING.
- Remove Faceplates from Object Types that don't need them. Especially DAT Elements. This issue is supposed to be resolved in Version 6
- Upload anyway and delete the objects you don't need again. The License Nag Screens will not stop the system working while you do this

You can make filter according to the object type like mb300 AI, MB300 DI. That’s the only type of filtering I know when using mb300 upload.
The workaround solution that I found for such kind of case that you told is to copy and paste same type of object. Then change the name and description from name aspect. Then change the MB300 object no from Control Connection aspect. That’s it. You have your newly created object. Other properties coming via opc.

1) Buy more TAGS... ;-)
2) Go to Advanced tab; perform Retrieve, then edit the .ocs output file with eg notepad then use Append to insert objects. Save the file in a safe location since a regular upload would insert all objects again.
