Digital signal trend, not showing signal change in higher resolutions
When trending a digital signal with 4 hours as an example (Attached 4 Hours), you can clearly see when the signal has shifted state.
But when I zoom out to 1 day (Attached) the trace flatline.
Does this problem have to do with the trace thickness? Is there any way to change this In the trend template?
The duration of the changes varies from 30s to 1m.

When you zoom out to 1 day, the trend display re-samples the data from the server. Since your closed periods (1 min) are very short compared to the trend length (1 day), the re-sampling misses the change in value.
Zooming the trend back in does NOT re-sample the data from the history server.SO the trend stays flat.
ABB trends have always worked this way, and the "feature" affects all trends. You must be exceptionally careful when trying to use trends the diagnose sequence of events that you do not zoom out the trend display and then zoom it back in again. Always SCROLL to the correct time, or directly enter the start and end times and keep the trend length down to 1 hour or less.
