AF100 I/O Cluster Problem
Hi,
I have an AF100 Network consisting of 11 CI820 I/O stations with AI810 and AO 810 I/O Modules.
From few weeks I have a problem at one Cluster .
I found an oscillation (Fluctuation) in all Analog Input readings in all AI810 I/Os.
The problem happens from time to time and I Don't know what could be the reason or the solution?

Hello Amr.
How old are the boards and the CI stations ? Which CI820 firmware version is used ?
You could read out the firmware on the CI820 DB element i.e. MDB 334.xx where xx is the record of this station.
I have no experience of that the CI820 could cause such problem with the readings.
Have you checked the power supply voltage ? Old switched power supply's could generate a high voltage ripple.
What power supply is used?
Check the stations DC voltage with an oscilloscope. The voltage ripple should less that a couple of 100 mV. (but is load dependent so the higher load the higher ripple).
Check also for intermittent voltage problems.
