Question on NTLMv2
Hi Stefen,
I saw a previous question that you answered on this topic. But would you know if 800xa and the MOD OPC Server support NTLMv2?
Our System administrator is not to happy that we are currently using NTLMv1 for the MOD OPC and we need to give them an answer soon.
Any thoughts would be great.
Regards,
Matt

Out of office to verify, but I believe 800xA survive with NTLMv2 to authenticate its clients.
Normally, you access the underlying functions thru xA, eg the ABB.DAServer.1 (local COM), ABB.DAServerSurrogate.1 (local and remote DCOM) or the AE and HDA servers.
Then, a NTLMv1 restriction of MOD300 won’t come into play
I assume.
