Can I use the controller PM862R in the System 800xA 5.1
Hello,
I have a system 800xA version 5.1 that using two controller, model: PM861R redundancy.
Now, I want to extend my system with a new redundant controller. Unfortunately, the model PM861R have been classic. So I think I should use another controller for my system, such as PM862R.
I know that the model PM862R belong to System 800xA version 6.x, can I downgrade its firmware to use for the system version 5.1?
Answers
You can use redundant PM866 which is still in Active sale.
Per the 800xA Product Life Cycle Announcement Document for AC 800M - PM861A, PM864A (3BSE092443 - Page 2), support for the PM862 controller was available in with 800xA Ver. 6.0.0-1, 800xA Ver. 6.0.2 and later.
So, in response to your question, none of the 800xA version 5.1 releases included support for the PM862 controller (PM861K01/PM862K02).
I have attached document: 3BSE092443_A_en_AC_800M_-_PM861A__PM864A_-_Life_Cycle_announcement_ for reference purposes. Refer to the table on page 2 of the document.
Good luck.

Hi,
Please find the attached Image for your reference with respective to PM862 Redundant controller, as this controller is compatible from 6.0.0-1 onwards by downgrade of Firmware for 800v5.1 is not possible because firmware for PM862 is not available with v5.1 in other way you can go with PM864 or PM866.
