Hi, How does DIS810 do "loop supervision"? If a switch has an open wire...How can the select I/O detect it?

Greetings,
Configuration is done by two steps:
- You need to make a electrical connection according to your device (2-wire device, 3-wire devices, 4-wire devices etc.)

- You need to make channel configuration in the engineering tool (e.g. Control Builder). They are automatically downloaded to the SCM during startup.

For more details please see Select I/O Modules and Termination Units documents.
Hope it helps you.

Hi,
I don't know this specific device but I believe you have to connect extra resistor (not part of delivery) between the switch connectors. DIS810 will monitor current through the loop. If there is no current then the loop will be interrupted. Otherwise the DIS810 will always measure specific current value for opened and closed contact because the current goes through the closed contact or the resistor...
