Hi Stefen,
Yes, we've set both the speed on the NIC in OS and within ESX.
Our network adaptor is HPE ETHERNET 1GB 4-PORT 366T ADAPTER (part number 811546-B21). I wonder is our problem with this adaptor?
Regards,
Matt

Hello Matt,
this adaptor works fine. I have some of them in our LAB. with PU410/412 working. I assume you VM-Ware installed with the HP Drivers included (that is what we are using, accutally the HP Bundel for VM-Ware).
Situation you are seeing is typical if on of the Device in the communication is set to 100 Full and the other is set to Auto. In this case you will all ways end up with 100 Half.
Do you a switch involved?
You could check for an Auto Device by using a straigth cable rather the crossover. If any Device is in Auto it still will work (Auto Crossing will take place). If all Device a set to Fixed value it will stop working.

I’ve heard of issues getting NICs into 100 FULL when using recent VMware versions.
Sorry, no solution other than: you must find a hardware/driver combination allowing reliable selection of 100 FULL when using PU41x.
